OUR SERVICES

Lifecycle maintenance & support

An AED is a 7-to-10-year investment — but only if consumables are tracked, replaced on time, and readiness verified. We handle the full lifecycle.

THE QUIET RISK

Most AED failures aren't equipment failures — they're maintenance failures

Pads expire every 2 years. Batteries last 5–7 years. Self-test alerts can be missed. Studies show 1 in 4 AEDs deployed in a real emergency had at least one preventable issue.

FAQ

Common questions

Do you maintain AEDs that weren't supplied by Starlight?

In most cases, yes — particularly for Defibtech Lifeline units. For other AED brands, contact us first; we’ll confirm whether we can source genuine consumables for your specific model. Using compatible genuine parts is critical for warranty and MDA compliance.

How much does maintenance cost?

Maintenance is quoted per unit, per year, based on the service components you choose (annual inspection only, consumable tracking only, or the full lifecycle plan). For fleets of 3 or more units, bulk pricing applies. WhatsApp us for a quote tailored to your facility.

What happens if I miss a pad or battery replacement date?

With our service in place, you won’t — we track the dates and contact you in advance. If you’re outside our service plan and an item has expired, the AED may still function but expired pads can compromise adhesion and signal quality. We strongly recommend replacement immediately.

How do I know when my AED needs attention?

The Lifeline AED runs an automatic daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly self-test, and a visible status indicator on the unit shows readiness. If the indicator turns red or the unit beeps, contact us immediately.

Do you maintain AEDs outside Klang Valley?

Yes. We service AEDs across West Malaysia, East Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. For locations outside Klang Valley, annual inspections are scheduled in batches and a small logistics fee may apply.

What if my AED has been used in a real emergency?

Contact us immediately on WhatsApp. We inspect the unit, replace the used pads, download the event data (if your unit has audio storage), and have the AED back in service typically within 48 hours. We also offer post-incident debriefing for your response team if needed.
